Since when? When Oden came into the league his highest value was as a 7+ foot defensive center. His offensive skill set was garbage, his basketball IQ was low, he had next to zero athleticism, and he relied way too much on his size over ability. So what has changed since he came into the NBA? Absolutely nothing except his physical health, which went way down after two years of non-stop injuries. So basically, had he not been injured the best he probably could have achieved was a very high rebound/post defender/blocker, but even those have been tainted with over 500 days of bench rest.
On the other side you have Thabeet who is a very similar player but has no major injuries and has had more substantial time to develop IQ, fundamentals and mature as a player.
No.. Greg Oden will be lucky to become a Dally type player and the Blazers kick themselves every single day for passing on Durant for a part time filler big man.
