Looks like Grandy is about to go to the Yanks and JAckson is off to Arizona. I really hate how the Yankees can get anyone they want. Why isn't there a salary cap? Give other teams like the Royals and the Pirates a shot to improve themselves and do well.
I'm not so mad that Grandy is gone, but why the Yanks. It's unfair that they can just pick up anyone they want whil other teams must suffer. I hate the Yankees with a passion.
I love this trade for the Tigers. Scherzer, Schrerlth, and Coke will all be in the rotation/bullpen next year, and Austin Jackson will be a GREAT player. Grandy's an aging OF who really was bad last year.
The Tigers think they can trade one of the best OF in MLB and one of their best starters for mediocre, unproven players.
The Tigers are the new *insert a horrible trading team here*
I wouldn't call Max Scherzer "unproven", sure he went 9-11 with a 4 ERA last year but he had terrible run-support. And all of the projections I see for him is that he'll be an All-Star pitcher with the potential to the an ace. He'll start next year, probably at the 4 spot in the rotation.
Shereth (sp?) played college ball with Ryan Perry and will be a KILLER 8-9 inning guys. Plus, Sherleth is a lefty who throws mid to upper 90's, like Perry. Both had trouble with control.
Phil Coke = Better Bobby Seay. May be the closer this year.
Austin Jackson = GREAT potential. We'll see with him
