Penn State will humiliate the Big Ten by getting blown out by USC in the Rose Bowl. They are not as good as they use to be> When they were scoring forty points a game against terrible teams. Until they ran into Ohio State. A good team.
Why do people act like Ohio State ruins the Big 10? I mean any Big 10 team would have been blown out in those games, but people just hate Ohio State and blame us. No one blames Illinois or Michigan for ruining the Big 10 getting even more clobbered in the Rose Bowl. Ohio State had head and shoulders the best last 3 recruting classes and no one will even be near us except Michigan in upcoming years. And going to the Alamo Bowl respects the Big 10?
I'll admit, we were overmatched in those Championship games because he only played our own defense for 6 weeks and we weren't ready for a team with a great defense. Its not like the 2 SEC teams we lost to were awful, they won the SEC. Thats like winning the Super Bowl...

Could it be that Ohio State has not beaten the SEC in bowl games? And it is not realluy possible to tell if another team can win a game they have never played. The NC is on a much more elevated scale than the Rose Bowl. Illinois really didn't do much last season except for beating Ohio State and Penn State. They didn't really even deserve the Rose Bowl Berth. They would have been lucky to win the Poinsettia Bowl! And Michigan, I don't know. They already ruined the Big Ten when they first joined. Also, wouldn't the correct phrase be, "Ohio State is head and shoulders above the Big Ten in recruiting?" Sure. But, once again, stars don't matter. Playing in college is alot different than playing in highschool. You can't really measure how good a player will be in college when he has never played a game there! And no one being near OSU and Michigan? I don't think so. You can't prove that yet.
Once again, when did I bring up the Alamo Bowl? I didn't say it makes up for OSU's loses. It was a bowl game we could win. (I am surprised we could do this with Morelli not only once, but twice!) It was a win for the Big Ten. Why do you always bring up the Alamo Bowl? Are you jealous? Why would you be?
I am bringing up the Alamo Bowl because you think Ohio State is ruining the Big 10 in the Nat'l championship. If the stars don't matter why do teams like Idaho, Fresno State, or Washington State flat out dominate? I watch film on Rivals and all the recruits for OSU this year are fast and will win us many Big 10 championships, thats how I figure we have the best class this year. I think Ohio State and Michigan are the only ones who kept the Big 10 respectible for many years. What has Penn State done to help the Big 10? Only make it 11 teams....

If 5 stars are so good, could you please explain to me how these FABULOUS recruits can't dominate the SEC? I have here a direct quote of you saying stars don't matter: And you are just helping me make my point that stars don't matter.
So, I have no idea why you now think that stars are the most important thing in the world. Is it possibly because Ohio State has an amzing total of: one 5 star recruit. Oh Bravo! May I congratulate you in advance for your 4 consecutive Big Ten titles!
Let me check out Auburn's 5 star recruits from last season: two 5 stars. Michigan: one 5 star.
Let me check out Ball State: zero 4 stars. Boise: Zero 4 stars. Utah:One 3 star. Penn State: zero 5 stars. Ohio State: four 5 stars.
Let's see how these teams did: Auburn went 5-7. Micihgan went 3-8. Ohio State went 10-2 with losses to Penn State and a crushing loss to USC. Ball State went 12-0, Boise went 12-0, Utah went 12-0, Penn State went 11-1 with some big wins.
Auburn had 2 five stars, Michigan 2. They had disappointing seasons. Utah, Ball State, Boise, Penn State had no five stars and had surprising seasons. Ohio State: 5. And what is this? No NC? HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE? THEY HAD 5 FIVE STAR RECRUITS! THEY SHOULD BE CRUSHING EVERYBODY, RIGHT MASON? Yes, and speed is the only thing that wins championships. Not skills, not desicion making, but speed.
Now you say Michigan is respectable after you argue they ruin the Big Ten in the Rose Bowl? Come on! You are all over the place!
And you're right. Penn State has done nothing over its 15 or so seasons in the Big Ten. Forget the Rose Bowl win, the Orange Bowl, forget Penn State's winning record over Ohio State. Forget this article, http://www.secsportsfan.com/including-penn-state-boosts-big-ten-numbers.html
Yeah, we pretty much have just been doing nothing. Just watseing our time even bothering to play you guys and beat you alot. No, we just have been sitting out as Ohio State has won every game because of their fabulous 5 stars.
Well you were looking on Rivals, on Scout.com Ohio State has 4 Five Stars. Ball State has had the top recruiting class in the MAC the last few years, because no one gets anyone good in the MAC. Recruits go to Boise State and Utah if they can't get accepted into a BCS School so they go to the best team in there respective conference. Utah and Ball State, and Boise State also have some of the best coaches, so they run a quirkey offense tailored toward them. And your talking about last season. Because I always see freshman play (Sarcasm). And Rose Bowl and Orange Bowl BIG WHOOP! Purdue has done the same thing, heck even Northwestern has done that. Come talk to me when you win a National Championship, Oh wait I forgot you lose to inferior teams, no chance of that happening. And Ohio State/Penn State series, tied at 12. Idiot. http://www.bucknuts.com/news/articles/2008/10/20/the-new-border-war-ohio-state-vs-penn-state The article was written before the last game. I could prove you wrong and make some witty comebacks about why Auburn lost 7 games, because they are in the SEC thats like another NFL Division and Tommy Tubberville is an awful coach. Or why Michigan lost 8 games after a new coach came in, made a new offense played a decent non-conference schedule. And Max, have you seen the last 4 Champions? LSU, Florida, Texas, and USC. LSU had tons of speed, Florida burned us with a Leak-Tebow combination, Texas WON THE GAME BECAUSE OF VINCE YOUNG'S SPEED! USC had Reggir Bush and a solid quick defense. Teams are nothing without speed.
Oh and also thanks for the Congrats on the next 4 Big 10 titles. I think we have a real chance. Even against the ever so tough, always tough, best team in the ever. Iowa Hawkeyes.
